IUCN World Conservation Congress 2016 on 1 September in Hawai'i. For the first time, the voting for adoption of the motions started prior to the congress. One of the key motions related to transboundary conservation, adopted during an electronic voting, is Motion 036: Transboundary cooperation and protected areas. Transboundaray conservaton Specialist Group (TBC SG) was very actively involved in the review process helping shape up the motion.

Apart from being engaged in the motion process, TBC SG partnered with the International Peace Park Expeditions to organise a Hands Across Borders: A Capacity Building Workshop for Transboundary Conservation Practitioners (5 September), as well as with WCPA's Mountains Specialist Group to support organisation of the event titled Mountain Protected Areas: Leadership for Adapting to a Changing World (4 September). Finally, today, Boris Erg will represent the TBC SG at the workshop May Nature be With Us: Conservation Cooperation for Peace and Biodiversity, organised by Korea National Park Service, to present TBC SG's activities and plans.
