Upcoming Webinar: Transboundary Conservation & Connectivity – Advancing Collaboration Across Borders - May 28th, 2025
a Vital Sites Webinar

TBCSG is excited to be part of the Vital Sites Webinar Series, as momentum toward the IUCN World Conservation Congress (WCC) in Abu Dhabi in October 2025. This series highlights emerging themes, innovative solutions, and best practices in protecting and conserving nature worldwide.

Upcoming Webinar: Transboundary Conservation & Connectivity – Advancing Collaboration Across Borders

Transboundary collaboration and connectivity conservation are essential to achieving the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework (KMGBF), particularly Goal A and Target 3—conserving 30% of the planet by 2030. Ecological connectivity enhances the effectiveness of protected and conserved areas, supports biodiversity, and boosts resilience to climate change. Cross-border cooperation also strengthens cultural heritage and promotes peacebuilding.

This webinar, co-hosted by the IUCN WCPA Transboundary Conservation Specialist Group and the Connectivity Conservation Specialist Group, IUCN WCPA, and IUCN Protected and Conserved Areas team will share key tools, real-world examples, and valuable insights for protected area managers and conservation practitioners.
